ROTG Jack Frost COSPLAY WIP by MangaX3me ROTG Jack Frost COSPLAY WIP by MangaX3me
As title says, this is my Jack Frost cosplay.. So far!! Still need to paint the staff, sew some straps on the pants and add some frosty-paint.. uhm.. I'm sure there's more.

But I'm gonna wear it as it is now, when I go watch the movie in...about 3 hours! Woooh! Boy, am I excited, even though I already watched the movie in danish 4 days ago... Can't wait to hear the epic English voices for the characters!

I can see I'm going to have quite a lot of questions on how I made all the things, so I'll write it here:
HOW IT WAS MADE
The staff: The "inside" of the staff is made of electric conduit pipe, that I sawed into fitting pieces and glued together with hot-glue. Then I used, what is it called, "wallpaper-glue"(?)(that's what's in the bucket in the top left corner of the picture) to wrap lots of newspaper pieces around the pipe-staff in spirals, all while I glued the blue elwire around too. Found the elwire on eBay.
(I would actually recommend you to use something "harder" than the electric conduit pipes, since my staff is "wobbly", it's very nice light-weight, put therefore also a bit more fragile. If I could change it, I would've used either some stronger plastic pipes or wood (even though it makes it a lot heavier) for the inside instead.)
The pants: Bought in a store and coloured in hand.
The shirt: Pullover hoodie from eBay, used white and white-pearl paint to make the frost (hand painted), and added glitter, using Stickles Glitter-glue.

Whaddya think of it so far? Oh, btw, the hair is not a wig. It's my own hair that I've violated. I also have a wig, but it doesn't look as good because it's not styled properly. xD

Now on my tumblr, reblog if you like: [link]

This is so amazing! ^ U ^ I'm planning on trying to make the staff too, but I was wondering where you keep the battery pack for the elwire so it isn't visible. I'm having some trouble working that out. > n <

I keep it at the bottom of the staff. It makes it a bit less durable because you can't lean against the staff because it might break in the place where the battery pack is attached to the rest of the staff, but it also makes it less visible. Hope that helped. :)

How did ya shape the staff/made out of? Looks kinda complicated? I did a couple staffs of my own..they didn't turn out as good as yours.

I bought my pants in H&M, if you know that store? But I also coloured them with Dylon-fabric-colour to get the right colour. :meow:

Thats pretty cool! How long did it take you to do make the whole cosplay outfit? The staff looks like it would have been the hardest thing to make....and it is an awesome idea you came up with, for adding the lights into it!

Thanks! ^^ Hmm, about a week for everything? The staff took about two evenings of work to make, then one evening to paint. (painted it yesterday)
The shirt took about 4 hours to paint. But yes, the staff was the one taking most effort. :D

I can tell it took the most effort, but I bet it was worth it in the end, no?

All in all great job!

I would actually rather do it myself, as I just got an account on tumblr myself, for the very reason of being able to put my own things on tumblr instead of others doing it. But thanks for asking me for permission. Not many people do that. :)

Alright, thank you! Someone suggested PVC pipes, but I think I'm going to use something a bit less wobbly, as you say. I will definitely take what you suggested to thought. Thank you very much for your time~!
